I have been a loyal Applebee's customer for years now;
Last night my husband and I went to the Denton Tx. Applebee's to attempt to celebrate my birthday and have a drink together. With the fact we have children, we rarely go out and get the opportunity...
We arrived at the establishment, were seated at our table and I proceeded to ask the server to give me a minute to choose my drink for my birthday. She replied with "okay" and was nowhere to be found for nearly twenty minutes.

At this time, I proceed to go to the bar to attempt for a second time to get to order my birthday drink; considering I had not been served one single drink, anywhere period, I was really looking forward to the celebration.
As I sit down at the bar, a very disturbing, creepy indivual proceeds to stare at me and make me extremely uncomfortable. I made it clear it did.
The bartender asked me what drink I wanted and I explained I was at a table but my server had not been back in twenty minutes and I was very thirsty... She apologized and said they would "make my drink and have it brought over" I thanked her and went back to our table.
About two minutes later, my server reappears and I reiterate what I had told the bartender. I told her thank you and I appreciated it.

She then told me "something tells me I shouldn't serve you. You seem like you have had a couple drinks"
I was completely sober, had no consumed one single alcoholic beverage.
I went to your establishment to receive a service, did nothing but simply treat people with respect and be polite.
As I am being refused service for "having a couple drinks" there are over sixty people in the establishment acting completely boligerate and inappropriate.

I feel as if I was mistreated and treated the way I was, because of the color of my skin.
There was numerous minorities there, who were acting crazy, foolish, and boligerate. Harassing my husband and I. In the restaurant, as well as the parking lot.
I asked to speak to the manager, and I did.
He informed me there was "nothing he could do"

As we are in the midst of our dispute and me inquiring as to why I was being mistreated the way I was, for no reason whatsoever, the man from the bar comes up to me, gropes me, sexually harasses me, puts his hands on me... As the store manager is right there.
The drunken buffoon was helped back to the bar and orders ANOTHER DRINK.
After he sexually harassed and touches me inappropriately.
We were not asked to leave, but at that point, there was no point of continuing to attempt to enjoy my birthday, because it was ruined.

To say the least, I expect this to be made right.
Someone will be hearing from my attorney, if it is not made right.
I do not live in America, abide by the law and live right, to be treated the way I was, at Y'ALL'S establishment.

I will NEVER eat or drink at another Applebee's, ever. And you better believe, people will hear about this issue.
COMPLETELY unacceptable.
It was because of what I looked like, what I was wearing and the fact I was a suburban Caucasian. That is the ONLY explanation, considering the circumstances.
It is utterly inexcusable, and will not be forgotten or made light of.
This will be made right.
